I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I have had the privilege of counseling individuals, families, and couples in various clinical settings. I work with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders as well as behavior and interpersonal issues. I can help with family and relationship problems, low self esteem, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress, life stage adjustments, and psychological issues related to medical problems. I have extensive experience working with older adults as they face retirement, health issues, loss, and other transitions brought on by age, as well as working with clients who have care-giving responsibilities. In addition, I assist and coach individuals looking to make career transitions, lifestyle, and behavior changes to improve the quality of their lives.
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston College in 1993, and have worked in a variety of clinical settings both before, during and after obtaining my MSW. These include: case management, inpatient psychiatry, human resource consulting, employee assistance program, and most recently, private practice psychotherapy. Over the years, I have supervised other clinicians and have served as part of a crisis service support team.
My style is warm, interactive, and collaborative. I combine psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness approaches to tailor my client's needs. I also provide coaching services to those wanting a more structured approach which works well for ADHD, anxiety, stress management, and those wanting to make a lifestyle or career change.
